Focus is a Florida Department of Education website offering online mini-assessments for reading, math, and science. For each benchmark in reading, Focus offers a 5-item assessment.
The Focus website was designed to support Florida's Continuous Improvement Model. The Continuous Improvement Model (CIM) is based on the idea that student and teacher success must be a continuous effort. Analyzing data, developing timelines, quality instruction and frequently assessing students for understanding are all key parts to the model. Scholastic Book ClubReading at home is an excellent way to help ensure your child succeeds in school There's no better way to instill a lifelong love of learning than giving your child a choice in what to read. Your child will be given a flyer the first week of school. Explore the flyer together and help your child choose books for your home library. Plus, when you order from Scholastic Book Clubs, we earn a free book for the class.
